Build a creator collaboration proposal covering production effort, publication, usage rights and revisions without promising guaranteed outcomes.
There is no single answer to “How much for one video?” A product demonstration might be a simple shoot or require a script, location, another person, multiple edits and months of advertising use. Creators should price the scope; brands should compare proposals against equivalent scopes.
Break down the work
Estimate research and scripting, preparation, filming, editing, subtitles, revisions and delivery. Add equipment, travel, location or crew costs where needed. List publication on your own account, additional formats and usage rights separately. These are inputs for your proposal, not fixed market rates.
| Item | Example scope |
|---|---|
| Production | One vertical video including script, shoot, edit and subtitles |
| Revisions | Two pre-agreed rounds of feedback |
| Publication | One post on the creator's account and an agreed date, if included |
| Usage rights | Agreed channels, country, duration and organic or paid use |
| Extras | Separate quotation for reshoots, raw files, variants or extensions |
The example's revision count is an agreement, not an industry standard. Tax and invoicing depend on individual circumstances; check with an accountant. State currency, payment timing, cancellation and delay terms too.
Discuss the right questions with the brand
Is the brand buying only a file or also distribution to the creator's audience? Will it use the content in advertising? If exclusivity is requested, which category, territory and period does it cover? Each unanswered question can change the workload and fee.
Instead of promising unverified sales or reach, share permitted examples of previous work and the real measurement period. Brands can disclose their budget range, objective and review date so both parties can agree on a workable scope.
Final check from delivery to publication
Keep the approved brief and changes together. Review commercial disclosure and platform notification before publishing. The Ministry of Trade's announcement discusses benefit-based posts, and YouTube's help page explains its paid promotion notification.
Are usage rights included in the fee? Only to the extent specified in the proposal or contract. Separating production, publication and paid advertising use makes the offer easier to understand.
